    2015 NPWA Presents Service Awards 06 01 2015 Welding work underway canopy coming soon to paint water authority tank 05 25 2015 NPWA Annual Fire Hydrant Inspection and Flushing Program Scheduled 03 30 2015 Back To News List Important Seasonal Reminders January 21 2014 Frozen water in pipes can cause water pressure to build up between the ice blockage and the closed faucet which can cause pipes to burst To avoid freezing pipes and potentially costly repair bills we suggest that you consider the following winterizing tips Wrap and insulate pipes in unheated areas such as basements closets attics or crawl spaces Caulk windows and replace or cover cracked or broken windows that are near water meters or pipes as well as where the pipe goes through walls Remove all hoses from outside faucets and shut them off from the inside Locate and tag your master valve just in case pipes freeze and rupture and Protect water pipes that are in minimally heated areas It is very important to remember to keep heat in unoccupied homes to prevent freezing of the interior plumbing fixtures During the cold winter months should you experience no water in your home check all faucets before calling the Authority s office The problem could be related to a frozen pipe in your home s internal plumbing especially if water is still flowing in some other areas of your home For more information on preventing and thawing frozen pipes and dealing with other Winter emergencies check out the Red Cross website at http www redcross org prepare disaster winter storm preventing thawing frozen pipes Hydrants Some hydrants throughout the NPWA distribution system are equipped with markers to assist the fire department in finding them if they become covered in snow or grown over with weeds or

    Water Authority Encourages Customers to Refill from the Tap 07 16 2015 Director NP Water Authority s water quality is excellent and the water is safe 06 30 2015 North Penn Water Authority Releases 2014 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report 06 25 2015 NPWA Presents Service Awards 06 01 2015 Welding work underway canopy coming soon to paint water authority tank 05 25 2015 NPWA Annual Fire Hydrant Inspection and Flushing Program Scheduled 03 30 2015 Back To News List North Branch Watershed Association Thanks Stream Cleanup Volunteers September 23 2013 For Immediate Release Tuesday September 24 2013 Contact Meghan Rogalus 215 345 7577 ext 107 On Saturday September 21 2013 North Branch Watershed Association NBWA partnered with Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful to host a stream clean up at the Creekside Inn on Butler Avenue in Chalfont Borough Bucks County The event was part of the 2013 International Coastal Cleanup a global effort spearheaded by Oceans Conservancy to clean up coastal areas as well as the streams and watersheds that drain to them Twenty nine dedicated volunteers came out for the afternoon to help make a difference in their community Together the group removed an assortment of items including construction debris bottles bags food wrappers and take out containers from the stream Over a distance of about 75 of a mile the group removed approximately 425 pounds of trash Cigarette butts were by far the most common item found with even the youngest toddler in the group retrieving and disposing of many of those while the most unusual item recovered was a push lawnmower In addition to the volunteers NBWA wishes to thank the Creekside Inn for use of their parking lot as the cleanup headquarters and New Britain Township for assisting with the removal and proper disposal of the collected
