    House who provide supervised contact and with CAFCASS Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Services HEBRON TRUST Hebron Trust is a Christian Charity providing residential treatment for up to 10 women with severe drug and alcohol addictions We provide a safe loving nurturing family environment in which women can begin to recover and turn their lives around The programme which lasts up to six months is based on The Twelve Steps to Recovery Staff endeavour to show the love that God has for those wishing to break free from the chains of addiction and we trust that every woman who comes to us is touched by Him no matter what the outcome in terms of recovery Many of the women who come to Hebron do find God for themselves and many go on to live fulfilled and renewed lives in the community The women take part in groups and receive one to one counselling living as a community in which life skills are developed We also offer aftercare to women who live in the local area or who choose to settle here in Norwich NCBC has strong links with the work of Hebron Trust several of our members being involved on the staff team or helping as volunteers LUNCHEON CLUB Duke Street Luncheon Club meets weekly on a Tuesday It is open to people aged 60 and over and we have about 40 members at present The Club was started to provide a nourishing hot meal in a warm welcoming Christian environment Some members live nearby and are able to walk to the church while transport is arranged for others Perhaps of more importance than the meal is the opportunity for people to get out meet with others talk and make new friends SOCIAL AFTERNOON On the first Tuesday of every month following lunch club there is a social afternoon at NCBC It runs from 2pm 4pm and includes playing board games cards and craftwork NORFOLK STREET PARTNERSHIP www nspuk net Norfolk Street Partership is an inter denominational Church response to urban problems engaging with people on the streets to care listen and dialogue A warm drink for a homeless person a pair of flip flops for an unsteady girl who can no longer walk in her stilettos a bar of chocolate to calm rising aggression and a friendly ear or a shoulder to cry on These are just some of the ways in which NSP have been making a real difference on the late night streets of Norwich since March 2007 NSP works in teams of four from 10pm to around 3am every Friday and Saturday to offer care concern and a listening ear to anyone in need We work on the street and work in partnership with the club staff the Police ambulance and SOS services and volunteers are asked to commit to one shift a month NORWICH FOODBANK www norwichfoodbank co uk A local Christian Charity and part of a national network of foodbanks giving out

    dancing which is recreational and social The dancing is mainly in sets rather than as couples and can be quite gentle and graceful or it can be quite vigorous and is therefore suitable for a wide range of ages and physical abilities The gental form of this dancing has its origins in the early court dancing as far back at Henry 8th but you may also have seen it in the TV adaptations of Jane Austen s novels However it is continually evolving and new dances are being devised all the time If you know your left foot from your right and are prepared to do what the called says you can quickly pick up the movements and enjoy the exercise We meet on the 3rd Monday of each moth except August in the church hall and new members are always welcome NCBC s MEN S FOOTBALL TEAM Norfolk Christian Football League The NCBC Adult Football Team is a team for all those aged 16 and over who enjoy playing the game meeting new people keeping fit and spreading the gospel to those around us We take part in the Norfolk Christian Football League playing against other church teams from the Norfolk area League and Cup games take place on Saturday mornings kicking off at 10 30am and we aim to train every week during the season with a break over the summer months If playing competitively on Saturdays is not what you re looking for the evening training sessions each week are a more relaxed light hearted time to have a kick around and perhaps pick up some new skills Please feel free to come along and have a go check the notice sheets for details of dates and times There is no minimum experience or ability level needed

    a warm welcome at NCBC Sometimes people don t know what to expect when they visit a church Here are some questions you may be asking What time should I arrive The morning service starts at 10 45am and the evening service at 6 30pm If you arrive a bit early you will have a chance to settle in but don t worry if you are a few minutes late you will not be the only one What will happen when I arrive We always have someone on the door to welcome you You can pick up a noticesheet and welcome booklet at this point You can sit wherever you like in the church What should I wear Whatever you feel comfortable in There is no need to dress up What happens during the service We normally start with a welcome from whoever is leading the service Then we sing some songs the words are projected onto a screen at the front We usually have a time of prayer bible reading and a talk of about 25 30 minutes Do I have to take part You don t have to do anything You are welcome to join in all aspects of the services If you prefer not to sing that is fine We take an offering during each service for the work of the church and other organisations This offering is really for members and regular attenders so please don t feel compelled to give Twice a month we take communion and this is explained at the time Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday morning and third Sunday evening of each month Once every half term everyone stays together for an All age Worship service which less formal and more interactive What happens afterwards The morning service finishes about
