  • Research Center Podcasts Now on iTunes | NRCCTE
    Now on iTunes 3 5 2009 Louisville KY The National Research Center for Career and Technical Education NRCCTE funded by the Office of Vocational and Adult Education at the U S Department of Education announced today that its popular research podcasts are now available on iTunes The podcasts are directly tied to the NRCCTE research agenda and consist of short interviews with researchers from around the country During the podcasts the researchers share an overview of their respective studies why the research is important and what classroom educators or administrators might be able to do with the research findings We know that classroom teachers and administrators are pressed for time said Center Director James R Stone III We have designed these podcasts to provide quick bits of useful information that will keep career and technical educators informed and also give them ideas on how they might be able to use the research findings Educators interested in subscribing to these podcasts can go to iTunes http itunes apple com WebObjects MZStore woa wa viewPodcast id 3070 46404 and click the Subscribe button Users will first need the iTunes software which is a free download The podcasts are also available at www nrccte org New podcasts will be published as individual research projects are completed About the NRCCTE The National Research Center for Career and Technical Education is the primary agent for generating scientifically based knowledge dissemination professional development and technical assistance to improve career and technical education CTE in the United States The NRCCTE works to improve the engagement achievement and transition of high school and postsecondary CTE students through technical assistance to states professional development for CTE practitioners and dissemination of knowledge derived from scientifically based research The NRCCTE is funded by the Office of Vocational and Adult Education at
