    so valued Our focus this month is on Endrit Mullisi Endrit lives in Toronto with his wife Zhaneta and their daughter Some years ago God called him to leave Albania and travel to Canada to reach Albanians We recently asked Endrit some questions about Albanian Outreach AO As you read learn please pray for this dear brother his family and for his ministry What is the scope of need among Albanians Evangelicals are less than 0 01 of Albania s population They are largely unknown among Albanians who are mainly Muslims Orthodox Catholics and Bektashi While most missionaries go to Albania or Kosovo very few have seen the need for the Gospel in the countries into which Albanians have immigrated AO is working to create a network to mobilize workers and start churches for Albanians in Canada We are the only ones I know of reaching out to the 50 000 Albanians in Canada What is the spiritual profile of a typical Albanian in Toronto A typical Albanian has no interest in any form of organized religion Most have a moderate Muslim background Albanians are focused on succeeding in Canada as an educated professional or a skilled worker in trades An Albanian might look respectful if a non Albanian talks about religion but usually doesn t allow a second conversation Tell us about how you are reaching out We want to build credibility while we are increasing our visibility in the Albanian community We are focused on discipleship and also host special events where believers can invite their friends We use leaflets social media yellow pages and surely friendship evangelism While it can be very challenging to connect we find that folks reach out to us when they are in crisis We have also begun friendships through refugee ministries and

    of nearly 100 church leaders this past week went amazingly well We are so grateful to the Lord for the security we experienced during the training and for the way the Holy Spirit was moving in people s lives There was such an openness and hunger for all that God had for them The participants were challenged to consider the good works that God has prepared in advance for them to do their God given mission for this moment during this challenging time in Burundi Thank you to the many of you who were praying for this event We together with the Schulz s returned to Bujumbura this past Saturday All of us were so ready to be back particularly the kids They want to be home and are longing for stability and routine All three girls started school this week with new teachers and newly combined classes as students and teachers continue to relocate due to the situation Although this initially caused some back to school jitters we are thankful that they are enjoying their new teachers and classmates We are often asked if things are back to normal here in Burundi Unfortunately they are not nor will they be for quite some time Everyday young men are found dead on the streets of the city Everyday day we hear stories of our friends who have been directly impacted by the loss of a friend brother or cousin At the moment we try to comfort encourage and help those we can Although things are not normal we are thankful for the peace we are experiencing in our neighborhood and family For the time being we feel confident that this is where we are to be We believe that God has good works prepared in advance for us to accomplish

    we anticipate walking the roads Jesus walked that has special meaning for me as I write this Upon our return the rest of January and February are filled with events that have the potential to impact many of us January 24 31 will launch the new year with our National Week of Prayer This seven day experience is a chance to pray together with mission minded folks from across Canada We will be exploring Micah 6 8 together He has shown you O mortal what is good And what does the Lord require of you To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God Further details are on the CCMBC Website but for ease of reference here is the prayer guide WeekofPrayer 2016 The weekend of Jan 22 24 is this year s Young Adult Missional Retreat called Embrace at Camp Crossroads If you know of a young adult or possibly you are one seeking to better embrace God s calling this weekend is a must This year we have a special guest from Central Asia who literally walks the footsteps of the Apostle Paul This friend has experienced prison social rejection physical abuse and political opposition in order to make disciples among Muslims and mentors a growing undercover house church movement Young leaders will be inspired through engaging discussions and listening to the Holy Spirit At the same event we will also host our first ever Leadership Collective This cohort of 14 young leaders will begin a year long journey of exploring their calling and gifting Then in February a weekend very dear to my heart is our Pastor Leaders Retreat and 85th Annual Convention This year both events will take place in Niagara and we will be blessed by the incredible insight and
