    premier advisor for community participation and community owned energy We will execute an education campaign targeting all of Ontario s municipalities The purpose of this campaign is to educate and enable municipalities to be owners and leaders in the ongoing LRP process rather than just willing hosts for large renewable energy projects owned by developers The campaign specifically seeks to prepare Municpalities for the coming round of large renewable energy project developments by being well informed partners to the developers The deadline for LRP 1 RFP submissions by proponents is September 1 2015 and therefore time is of the essence Phase 1 Webinar April 21 st 10 30 am OSS will host a webinar open to senior municipal staff and political level which will include the following content Information on the LRP 1 RFP program rules timelines scope Impact of the LRP 1 RFP process on Municipalities Presentation of potential scenarios for municipal and community participation including economic impact of the presented scenarios Best practices in municipal and community participation from Ontario Question Answer session Phase 2 Workshops May 2015 Individual workshops will be held in municipalities upon request with the intent to Develop high level municipal strategy and action
