    received and celebrated According to tradition a salute was fired so close to the house the glass in a number of windows was shattered In 1794 Melchior Schultz a minister of the Schwenkfelder faith purchased the farm and his descendants continued to live and farm here until 1969 when it was purchased by the County of Montgomery The site has been restored and the house furnished to reflect its appearance

    a degree in Pennsylvania German History Cultural Studies or Decorative Arts and or related Museum Studies The scholarship is based on your academic record activities and leadership qualities as presented in this application Two letters of recommendation from individuals who have worked with you e g a professor coach or employer are required In addition the completed application must be signed by your advisor prior to submission The required essay and grade transcript are an important part of the application The Scholarship Committee will review the applications awards will be made at their discretion The Committee s decision is final Applications must be filled out completely and legibly All required documentation must be attached Applications will be accepted through March 1 each year The amount of the scholarship is 5 000 00 and the check will be made payable to the college or university that the student is attending Click here for a PDF version of the scholarship application that you can print out and complete This requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader which you can download for free from www adobe com Applications may be dropped off at the Farmstead or mailed to The Peter Wentz Farmstead Society 2100 Shultz
