    and Montana to provide training and technical assistance services under our Capacity Building Program In 2014 the training program evolved into a cohort based delivery model The program is part of our ongoing efforts at increasing philanthropy in Northwest Indian Country through the education of philanthropic entities and Native led nonprofits Please note that not all cohorts are offered every year mostly due to funding levels In 2016 Potlatch Fund is offering cohort training and technical assistance in Nonprofit Management and Language Preservation What do we do In essence the Capacity Building Program is about our people empowering emerging leaders and developing sound strategies in nonprofit management as well as fundraising and grant writing to increase organizational capacity of Native led organizations Our redesigned capacity building program helped a total of 51 individuals representing 35 Native led nonprofit organizations Native arts organizations or individual Native artists to strengthen their knowledge skills and professional networks by participating in one of two 10 month learning cohorts over two years 2014 and 2015 2015 Capacity Building Overview Objectives Organization wide solidification of our philosophical approach toward grantmaking Conduct needs assessment of organizations and tribes in our four state service area Redesign and re
