  • Too blessed to be stressed | Mission Healthy Living
too many great things going on in my life to let stress overshadow it with negativity Over the course of my undergrad career and my now almost complete grad career Eeeek That s scary to say I ve developed a few methods that work wonders for my stress levels and I m happy to share them with you today 1 Sing it sister or mister Probably much to my neighbors dismay my No 1 de stressor Singing While I m working on just about anything I turn on my favorite Pandora stations or playlist on my phone and belt and sometimes dance away the stress and you can do it too You don t even have to be good at it Trust me I m no American Idol but it s so much fun and it actually helps me concentrate better on the task at hand Try it sometime you may find you actually like it J 2 Breathe in and breathe out Take a step back from what you re doing and BREATHE I know I get so wrapped up in what I m doing that I forget that I m just one woman As my family loves to remind me Rome wasn t built in a day and neither is whatever you re stressing over Take some time and doing something fun yoga take a walk pin things on your Pinterest another of my fav ways to relax whatever gets your mind functioning normally again 3 Laughter is the best medicine You can say that again My favorite thing to do is laugh Laughing not only releases all that negative energy that comes with stress but personally makes me feel alive again I love people who can make me laugh so hard that I feel like I ve had a serious ab workout Pull up that funny YouTube video you ve been meaning to watch for weeks or if you re like me have a conversation with your six year old cousin for some comic relief Kids really do say the darndest things 4 Accept help Let down your walls and allow others to take the reins once in a while Too many times I ve bitten off more than I can chew trying to tackle it all by myself Trust me when I tell you it NEVER works Swallow your pride and ask for help It will be one of the best decisions you ve ever made It always has been for me at least J Finally I ve heard a spoonful or so of Nutella also helps rid you of stress just saying A little indulgence never hurt anyone right xoxo Skye Tags Stress Read more posts by Skye Tulio Related Where is your haven 17 August 2015 Health is not just a six letter word 2 February 2015 Take the time to talk the walk 11 May 2015 Great friends are good for your health 27 July 2015 Time Alone and Loving It 9 February
