  • The spell Permanency and some comments
POWERFUL 200 PPE is too easy to come by make it 200 times the original PPE cost of the spell and then you re talking about a respectable cost benefit exchange Otherwise spells are too easily made permanent Think about how annoying constantly coming across permanent carpet of adehions with permanent invisibility spells would be To create this is a measely 400 or so PPE not hard to come across

  • Magic Coins
kind has a roman numeral for one These coins were developed for the personal army of a wizard in the Eastern Territory They are still found primarily in the Eastern Territory though some are sold in marketplaces in other lands Lightning Coin One side is marked with the emblem of a lighting bolt When the command word is spoken the marked side is to be pointed at an enemy and a lightning bolt strikes the target for 3d6 damage The coin melts after use Smoke Coin When thrown down the coin dissolves into a mass of smoke 30 x30 x30 Exploding Coin A large gold coin this coin explodes when thrown down Damage is 4d6 to all in an 8 foot radius An amusing story is how my players reacted when they were being chased by a group of mercenaries who had a batch of these coins They chased off most of the mercenaries but not before being surprised by a few of the Exploding and Lightning Coins They captate him One of the players was fascinated with the Coins but grabbed the wrong pouch off the soldier the player had a grabbed the mercenary s purse full of actual

  • Some thoughts on playing a Diabolist
bad and further they are powerful enough to warrant the cost Note it is stated that an oz of gold leaf is 100g in the first book and that in the third book a pound of gold is 2000 or 3000 gold or something So I want the job pounding gold leave back into gold bars and selling it I scrapped the system and redid it 2 How does a diabolist decide that a rune affects him It is stated that a diabolist is immune to the effects of his own runes But there are some runes that it would be silly to have a diabolist immune to invisibility for example So how do people reconcile this It seems silly to me that a diabolist simply decides that a rune is to affect him one particular instance since that is rather contrary to the way runes work in general If that s the case why can t the diabolist simply decide I want this rune not to affect Person X instead of requiring him to write the true name of the person Additionally what if the diabolist is taken by surprise by the triggering of an area effect rune that

  • Some thoughts on playing a Changeling
that you can modify your own PB up one point per 10 of lifespan don t have it onhand that the character has been alive Most characters are young so that isn t a problem Weak but livable 4 How do Changelings reproduce Does their base form contain some form of gender I thought I read somewhere that they were hermaphoditic If they have a gender are they restricted in the gender of the form they assume Along those lines what happens when a changeling in some other form mates with another creature of the changed form If you read one of the adventures in book 3 you will notice that Changelings have intrinsic gender are male and female and can have children like any other race 5 How is the changeling s ability to transform limited I rule that changing form requires a great deal of energy and the changeling gets very hungry after a transformation With weak changelings unable to make a transformation Is there a better method I think having the PC s required to kill the changeling if he is found out to maintain in character is sufficient limitation Changelings are about as well liked as

  • Priests and Spells
ve also done this with Palladins making them actual worshippers of a god rather than just associated knights or vaguely religious knights For example paladins of the God of War can instantly tell the hand to hand chart and level of any foe well they have to see them fighting but similar enough They also can pledge a foe meaning that if the paladin is the one to deal the death blow to that enemy then he she receives a favor from the god equivalent to a 1 to be added once to a combat roll If this is not the case then the paladin receives a grudge or a 1 to be added once only to any combat roll by the god Anyway I don t want to go into every one of the priesthoods since a they re not all done b they re not Kevin s gods anyway and c there isn t enough room to do this without spamming everyone s email I did have problems dealing with neutral gods priests that weren t priests of light OR priests of darkness We ended up choosing abilities from both having curse instead of turn dead but having the rest of the priest of light powers for example Any thoughts on that There are various selfish gods in the book why isn t there a priest class for them Oh we gave prayers to Paladins as well just communion and intervention at bigger time intervals and with lower percentages This was after lots of complaining by players who found their religious Paladins couldn t talk to their gods Spells I ended up adding some god specific spells in for my priests on occasion when the player complained and when I could think of one and then limiting the
