    a Carer Support Worker and have been with Carers First for 3 years In my role I provide information advice emotional and practical support to carers I network with professionals and other voluntary organisations I provide advocacy support to carers and organise and facilitate carer support groups I am extremely passionate about my work whether it is working 1 1 with a carer or whether I am facilitating my monthly Cake Coffee Support Group I know that I am making however small it may be a difference to their lives About my work Previous work history has been in the NHS for 16 years and other areas of work have been with a Drug Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre and a Charity that provided accommodation and support to vulnerable young adults Experience Working as a volunteer has been an amazing experience for me personally In April 2011 I began my mentoring role with the Young Lives Foundation This was not something I took on lightly as the expectation from the Charity was that I commit for at least 2 years Those 2 years has since gone by and I still continue to mentor the young person in care I also do voluntary

    References can be provided upon request About me My name is Bobbie Taiano my age is middle 50 s but I have a young mind I currently work with family carers whose lives are impacted by caring for someone with a long term illness or disability I offer information advice and support both individually and in groups The range of support is tailored to individual carers as a result of talking to them and assessing their needs I work at the pace of the carer so that they feel enabled to care for their loved ones in a more positive and confident way About my work I trained as a nurse many years ago specialising in working with people who have learning disabilities moving to working with family carers in 2000 My specialism since 2012 in working with family carers is mental heath and or substance misuse during this time I have gained an understanding of the difficulties faced by both carers and the person they are caring for I have completed Signpost Brokerage Training Feb 2013 Life Coach training July 2013 Family Therapy training April 2012 and Adfam Working with Famililes affected by substance misuse May 2012 About you
