and too stiff I replaced with a much longer and more flexible piece of stranded wire The kit comes with a nice colored manual which is OK Sometimes it could be a bit clearer when to mount what part Especially when to mount the electrolytic capacitors is confusing at first They are mentioned at one point but then in the next sentence comes don t put them on yet arghh You also should have a file or a sharp hobby knife mini mill or dremel I found that 3 solder joints interfered with the headphone jack Without modifying the jack it would not fit onto the PCB properly meaning it wasn t completely level and in physical contact everywhere Cutting away a few mm of the plastic takes care of that That s about all there is to say about assembly Wait one more thing The knobs that go on the potentiometer have a nice feel to them but it is terribly hard to push them on First I thought some air was trapped inside I took care of that by milling a small grove into the axle but that didn t help a thing Later I opted for the good old use the force approach Luke LUKE I am your where did that come from shudder Now they won t come loose anymore for sure Make sure not to put unnecessary venting holes into your thumb with the potentiometer pins they easily prick your skin pricks You can get one here And finally a video showing some of the sounds And one by the makers As you have seen in the videos it is pretty simple to use and great fun as well This entry was posted in Electronics Soldering PCBs and tagged AVR bleep labs chiptune nebulophone noise sound synth Bookmark the permalink Openbench Logic Sniffer A short review Mental illness in microcontrollers or in the programmer One Response to Bleep Labs Nebulophone Chiptunes Dr Bleep says August 25 2011 at 20 46 I m glad you liked it Sorry for the ill fitting parts Unfortunately sometimes they change slightly between shipments Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published Required fields are marked Comment Notify me of followup comments via e mail Name Email Website Leave this field empty CAPTCHA Code Search for Recent Comments robert on YauDL Y et a nother u seless D ummy L oad Andrew Duckworth on YauDL Y et a nother u seless D ummy L oad robert on YOUYUE 858D hotair station BLDC Fan speed mod Serhii on YOUYUE 858D hotair station BLDC Fan speed mod Serhii on YOUYUE 858D hotair station BLDC Fan speed mod Archives Archives Select Month January 2016 1 December 2015 2 November 2015 3 October 2015 2 September 2015 10 July 2015 4 June 2015 5 May 2015 2 April 2015 5 March 2015 3 February 2015 2 January 2015 1 December 2014 2 November 2014 2 October 2014 3 September

mass purchases of components as none of my projects went beyond the 150 units but I prefer to stay on the safe side so for my regulators I mostly use TI and I wouldn t feed 24V to step down to 5 despite the ratings I d go in two steps to add more protection but I m not exactly an engineer so I d rather wear a helmet Reply robert says September 12 2014 at 15 46 There was close to no load on the regulator certainly below 10mA It should survive that And if it gets too hot then go into thermal shutdown instead of exploding It s simply a piece of crap I bought this bag of regulators because it was seductively cheap and its always good to have a few of 7805s around Turns out these were too cheap For the price I payed due to destruction of other boards I could ve gotten many not so cheap ones No more WingShing for this guy Reply ubi de feo says September 12 2014 at 16 02 and I ll save your precious advice for the future I really enjoy your blog by the way been following for a while now cheers ubi Reply Electronics Tutorials says September 22 2014 at 08 09 Ah Sorry to hear that Finding good suppliers from eaby is a tricky work Sometimes the components I order from ebay are very reliable and sometimes they just make me sad Usually going for very very cheap components will do no good to our projects than making it a hell Reply SeanB says January 1 2015 at 14 39 Looking at the datasheet they only actually work up to 20V that they survive to 30v is only going to be a guess They only spec operating conditions in the datasheet to 20V so they probably only are actually 20V rated parts inside Reply robert says January 1 2015 at 14 45 One could get the impression that might be the case I d have appreciated a nicer failure mode though Failing open instead of shorted for example But no Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published Required fields are marked Comment Notify me of followup comments via e mail Name Email Website Leave this field empty CAPTCHA Code Search for Recent Comments robert on YauDL Y et a nother u seless D ummy L oad Andrew Duckworth on YauDL Y et a nother u seless D ummy L oad robert on YOUYUE 858D hotair station BLDC Fan speed mod Serhii on YOUYUE 858D hotair station BLDC Fan speed mod Serhii on YOUYUE 858D hotair station BLDC Fan speed mod Archives Archives Select Month January 2016 1 December 2015 2 November 2015 3 October 2015 2 September 2015 10 July 2015 4 June 2015 5 May 2015 2 April 2015 5 March 2015 3 February 2015 2 January 2015 1 December 2014 2 November 2014 2 October 2014 3
