  • Our Programs
    an individual visitation program that allows families to work with our Program Manager to set goals and work one on one with a highly trained volunteer Each program term runs 12 consecutive weeks To learn more about our individual program click here CAMP GERONIMO Geronimo shown right was our founder s personal horse and the inspiration for Camp Geronimo As you can see he loved children of all ages We are sorry he is no longer with us in body but his spirit lives on It s in the laughter of children at his camp The daily activities at our camp are carefully planned and developed to be a perfect mix of the one on one qualities of our Individual Program with a lot of fun to fill our campers days Camp Geronimo is for children with disabilities ranging in ages of 6 12 yrs old It is run by licensed PT Director Eric Pollock If you would like to know more about Camp Geronimo click here FIELD TRIPS The Barn at Spring Brook Farm offers opportunities for local schools serving the special needs population to participate in school field trips The coordinator of the field trip will work with

  • Camp Geronimo
    The Barn s loft they will be having fun A short snack period is usually followed with physical and gross motor activities and interactions with the animals After lunch there is an opportunity for quieter play hang out time in our handicapped accessible tree house where sensory stimulating toys are located In the afternoon your child might play with a large colorful parachute run through sprinklers to cool off or tend to our raised vegetable and flower beds They might also explore the Blue Bird Trail looking for butterflies and other wonderful creatures Arts and crafts are always a fun way to wind down the day painting pictures or flower pots a group finger painting session and other fun crafts will round out their day To view a mp4 slideshow of last years camp click here Camp Geronimo is for Children Ages 6 12 Years We specialize in working with children on the Autism Spectrum but our camp is for all children with disabilities Our barn is completely handicapped accessible Our staff is trained to work with children of all abilities Experienced Camp Director Eric Pollock MS PT With nearly 20 years of experience working with children with disabilities we are proud to have Eric Pollock run Camp Geronimo Eric takes care in planning camp activities so each child has opportunities for growth development and fun One to One Volunteer to Child Ratio At Camp Geronimo your child s safety is our number one concern Each child is assigned his or her very own counselor who is with your child throughout the week A Bayada Nurse is on site to provide any medical care needed Animal Assisted Activities Most people are aware that there is an emotional connection between animals and people and even more special is the mutual love
