    Day 3 Other Events Past Events Industry Events Documents Press Members Area Copyright Legal Affairs Committee Enforcement Task Force Infringement Piracy Copyright Infringement Portal Online Piracy Guidelines Permissions Permissions Guidelines RightsLink Licensing Open Access Licensing Text and Data Mining STM Statement Sample Licence Litigation Settlements Google Settlement Subito Update Swets Liquidation Home Copyright Legal Affairs Permissions Permissions Publisher members of STM may become signatories to the STM Permissions Guidelines which provide a streamlined procedure for permissions between signatories to use extracts from copyright works The majority of the STM Signatories partner with the Copyright Clearance Center CCC to implement RightsLink an automated permissions solution on their websites directly from the point of content For avoidance of doubt not eligible for clearance under these STM Permissions Guidelines are re publication requests in relation to primary publication materials in secondary or tertiary publications where less than 70 of the total secondary or tertiary publications consist of original material and thus 30 or more of materials may be non primary or originated by third parties The STM Permissions Group includes Rights Permissions and Licensing Managers representing the permissions departments of many STM publishers Their aims include but are not limited to Promoting knowledge sharing and networking among members Encouraging and advising on the development of new information services and systems both commercial and non commercial Collectively assessing both new and existing products and services Providing a forum for the discussion and sharing of best practices on granting and clearing permission For the avoidance of doubt this Group discusses issues relating ONLY to rights and licensing and not any specific publisher licensing terms or fees The STM Permissions Group is made up of the following Elizabeth Alimena Oxford University Press Gemma Alaway Institute of Physic Publishing Susann Brailey AIP Publishing Gill Cockhead Royal Society
