    Kathleen Welsh Glick explained I ve been doodling since I was 4 years old and have sold my work at our annual poinsettia show and more recently in March 2015 at the first annual Art Under the Town Clock Tower Show and Sale in Boyertown I had enthusiastic response to my work that I decided to have an art show because I have a few friends whose work I really love and I just wanted a place where we could all show our work together and have a good time she continued Inspired by Glick s vision for the exhibit Studio B s gallery director Susan Biebuyck then curated ten additional artists into the exhibit each who demonstrate respect for original line quality We are pleased to have among several doodlers two figural artists a few painters a sharpie artist two sculptors and even an abstractionist covering both two dimensional and three dimensional genre In respect for the varied results we all agree everything starts with a doodle noted Biebuyck Studio B 39A East Philadelphia Avenue in Boyertown PA is pleased to announce the opening of To Be Know Thyself You Do You the studio s third annual show and book release combining literary and visual art The exhibit opens February 19 2016 with a reception from 5 00 p m 8 00 p m and runs until March 13 2016 Prizes to visual artists will be awarded on Friday night A booklet of prose poetry and illustrations edited by Jane E Stahl and designed by Susan Biebuyck featuring the work of local writers and artists will be offered for sale in addition to the fine art exhibited in the gallery hBot by Ron Schiding Studio B is also pleased to host a group exhibition curated by Matt Deterior a West Lawn artist and director of Feverdream Gallery as part of its February 2016 line up Deterior organized a group exhibition in August 2015 titled This one is for hitchBOT in which 20 or more paintings by a group of artists were featured in Deterior s home in response to the destruction of the makeshift robot hitchhiker created by David Harris Smith of McMaster University and Frauke Zeller of Ryerson University in Toronto as a social experiment The Canadian scientist creators sent it hitch hiking around the world with great success only to be destroyed in Philadelphia after just a few short days in the United States See more at http www readingeagle com weekend article art review pop up gallery in west lawn defends hitchbot sthash 8YRxSel0 dpuf The local national and international Feverdream Gallery artists organize opportunities curated by Deterior in untraditional temporary venues like hotel rooms store front windows family living rooms even the outdoors to create and exhibit their work Each venue space becomes a part of the exhibit itself The artists display a barrage of random eclectic work usually with a current pop culture inspiration often employing a satirical and irreverent approach to social commentary

    39A East Philadelphia Avenue in Boyertown PA on Friday September 18 2015 from 5 00 p m 8 00 p m The exhibit s opening is free and open to the public Awards sponsored by Liberty Environmental Inc Reading PA Exhibition runs through June 20th 2015 Studio B 39A East Philadelphia Avenue in Boyertown PA is pleased to announce the award winners in its current exhibit entitled Get Down to eARTh the studio s annual exhibit of fine art dedicated to the environment featuring work in all media including painting drawing sculpture video and digital art Jurors Betsy Alexander and Burnell Yow artists and art collectors who own one of the largest most eclectic art collections in Philadelphia chose Bob Hakun s found object sculpture Futility as Best in Show Second place awards were shared by William Alburger for his repurposed and rescued wood sculpture entitled Cabinet Tree and Angela Izzo for her oil painting entitled Millennial Gardening Honorable Mention awards went to Steve Fabian for Fish Out of Water Martha Ressler for her fabric collage Crucified on the Cross of Corporate Greed Patricia Scialo for her silver gelatin print with encaustic entitled Botanical Series II Gail Fronheiser for a mixed water media painting entitled Plant Maple Trees and Peter Rampson s fiber sculpture Folded Tome 33 Awards for the exhibit were sponsored by Liberty Environmental an environmental consulting and engineering firm headquartered in Reading PA which provides environmental services to manufacturers land developers private landowners financial institutions and government entities Services include air quality management site assessment and remediation natural resources e g wetlands and endangered species identification water resource management and sustainability e g greenhouse gas and carbon footprint assessments Join Studio B as we present the 2nd Annual exhibition bringing together artists and writers Opening Reception is

    Artists are inherently creative at figuring out ways to give beauty value and life to an otherwise blank canvas Upcycling a popular and contemporary word for re use proudly showcases this idea in fine art The show runs through May 10 2014 the gallery s normal hours are Thursday Friday and Saturday from 11 00 a m 3 00 p m Friday evenings for third Friday openings 5 00 p m 8 00 p m Studio B Hosts Dual Exhibits Jane Ammon s Photographs The Clothes They Came to Us In and KenCrest s ArtWorks Art by Artists with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities An important aspect of Studio B s mission includes providing opportunities to enhance lifelong learning creativity and health and wellness through the arts while serving as a dynamic go to destination for fun and friendship This aspect will be realized fully in two very special exhibits which will open at Studio B on May 16 2014 from 5 00 8 00 p m The exhibit runs through June 12 2014 In the main gallery the photography of Jane Ammon will feature compelling photographs of 30 internationally adopted children In the studio s classroom gallery the exhibit will feature ArtWorks artwork by 25 30 artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities who attend the KenCrest EmployNet program All the art on exhibit will be for sale and 100 of the purchase price is returned to the artist Thanks to exhibition sponsor Zerns Farmers Market Studio B presents Paper Aeroplanes An International Show of Works on Paper from Artists and Friends June 14th September 12th 2014 Artists Jennifer C McCarthy Santa Fe Jumaadi Indonesia Australia Karl Mullen Ireland USA Michelle Connolly UK Australia USA and Tony Convey Australia Through September 13 2014 Gallery B at the B features the recent work of Ron Schira the Reading Eagle s prolific art critic Schira s exhibit Untitled Abstractions Gouache and Colored Pencils on Paper offers an investigation into abstract art using modest materials with an economy of means The abstractions combine two methods one of painting and the other of drawing on paint The paper is recycled cardboard with bits of plant fiber for the smaller pieces and a thicker variety of newsprint for the drawn works The invitational exhibit Untitled Art without Artifice opened Friday September 19 2014 The exhibit honors the freedom inherent in the creative process and is funded by an anonymous donor who invited artists whose work does not fit a particular theme or idea but who stretch boundaries in their work because they can 3 652 Squares by Benjamin Hoffman The artwork of Kutztown University senior and Studio B intern Benjamin Hoffman will also occupy Studio B s classroom gallery The reception is free and open to the public The exhibit continues until October 11 2014 Rooftops of St Malo Watercolor by Sandra Wood NEW STUFF in Paint and Clay opens October 17 2014 5 00 p m 8 00 p m self taught artist Bob Wood
