  • Villanueva del Duque
    is on line Tenemos 5 invitados conectado s Villanueva del Duque The site of the town has been populated since Roman times who settled here attracted by the wealth of its lead deposits which were worked between the 2nd century BC and the 2nd century AD The population was never concentrated in one town Instead it was spread around a number of settlements especially that of the Terrera Mine on the hill of San Gregorio in the Sauzon area and in the area around the Hermitage of la Virgen de Guia The present town dates back to the 15th century and traces its origins to the hamlet of El Allozo known for its vineyards and its wine presses Most of the population died out after an outbreak of the plague However the few remaining villagers settled in El Retamal in the late 13th century From the very start the present town was linked to the County of Belalcázar established by Enrique IV as a grant to Don Alfonso de Sotomayor as a reward for the services rendered by his father to King Juan II in the Battle of Olmedo and made up also of Gahete Belalcazar and Finojosa Hinojosa del Duque of which Villanueva del Duque was an outlying district In 1631 it was finally named as a Town at the handsome price of four thousand ducats paid by the Count of Belalcazar and Duke of Bejar himself who gave his name to the addressee of Miguel Cervantes famous work El Quijote In the first part of the 20th century Villanueva del Duque enjoyed a thriving economy based on the exploitation of several mining deposits which now lie abandoned in the countryside around the village for instance the mines of El Soldado and Las Morras PLACES TO VISIT Parish Church

    Keep has remained almost intact to this day PLACES TO VISIT 1 Church of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación 2 Hermitage of Santa Eufemia 3 Ermita of La Virgen de las Cruces 4 Old Town Gate 5 Circular Watchtowers 6 Miramontes Castle 7 Vioque Castle DOS TORRES Dos Torres is a village steeped in history whose origins go back as far as the Late Middle Ages 14th 15th centuries However these lands were inhabited in ancient times in the Paleaolithic period and in Roman times Present day Dos Torres was formed after a government edict on c 11th December 1839 declared the amalgamation into one town of the two adjacent villages Torremilano and Torrefranca which had always been very closely linked historically although not so close in terms of political administration Torrefranca was one of the villages which made up the old County of Santa Eufemia whereas Torremilano belonged to the Seven Towns of Los Pedroches Throughout the historic centre of Dos Torres the use of granite and high quality wrought iron window bars has been preserved over the centuries and there are also fine examples of religious architecture Outstandingly attractive and original architectural features can be seen everywhere in bridges hermitages churches or most of all in the houses with their sculpted doorways remarkable lintels and noble coats of arms which reflect the importance of the village in the past The layout of the village houses has changed little over the years and it has been named a Place of Cultural Interest in the section of Historic Town Centres PLACES TO VISIT 1 Church of Santiago Cultural Centre 2 Roman Bridge of San Juan 3 Madueñas Bridge 4 Entrance Gate of San Juan de la Penitencia Convent 5 Roman Road of Santa Rígida 6 Hermitage of San Sebastián 7 Well of the Snows Early Christian Basilica EL GUIJO The origins of El Guijo go back to between the late C 12th and early C 13th when the inhabitants of El Villar de Santa María situated in the Cerro de Majadalaiglesia abandoned their settlement possible due to an Islamic invasion The first mention of El Guijo was made in the Middle Ages by King Alfonso VIII in 1189 After being mentioned as a place in the late C 13th the population was included in the Estate of Santa Eufemia and during the C 14th and C 15th its history was closely linked to this estate For the next two centuries El Guijo became an important cattle rearing centre since two busy cattle tracks la Cañada de la Mesta and la Real Soriana passed close to the village and the collection of grazing rights in the Bishopric of Cordoba took place there As we walk the streets of El Guijo it feels like an oasis of peace and quiet graced by the simple charm of its people PLACES TO VISIT 1 Parish Church of Santa Ana 2 Hermitage of La Virgen de las Cruces Situated next to the most important archaeological

    el propietario El precio si no indica nada siempre es por la Casa Completa Si se solicitan camas habitaciones supletorias y luego no van a ser necesarias deberás avisar al propietario con al menos 1 día de antelación De no ser así deberás abonar su coste Entrega y Recogida de Llaves ENTREGA DE LLAVES El día de llegada al alojamiento es indispensable entregar una copia del D N I de todos los ocupantes de la casa que sean mayores de 16 años Bajo ninguna circunstancia se permitirán más personas que las establecidas según el número máximo mencionado en la descripción del alojamiento incluido niños mayores a 3 años Los propietarios se reservan el derecho de admisión o cancelación de la reserva si no se respeta la presente El propietario les informará de los lugares más próximos para los suministros lugares de interés y les mostrará la casa El pago del total menos el depósito que hayas entregado lo realizarás en efectivo en euros y a la entrada en la casa A partir del atentado de Atocha es obligatorio que cada viajero rellene y firme una ficha de ocupación que el propietario está obligado a entregar al cuartel de la guardia civil y no existe una copia para los viajeros Si queréis un justificante de pago debes solicitárselo al propietario a la entrada El propietario se compromete a entregar el alojamiento en perfectas condiciones de limpieza y uso y a dar solución en la medida de lo posible a los problemas que se presenten En el momento de entrar revisen la casa las deficiencias que podáis encontrar en la casa deberéis comunicárselas al propietario lo antes posible para poder ser corregidas Podrás contactar con el propietario por teléfono ante cualquier problema a horas prudentes siempre que no sea algo urgente Deberás acordar con el propietario la hora de salida teniendo en cuenta que el propietario puede establecerla en las 17 h del día de salida RECOGIDA DE LLAVES Los ocupantes debéis avisar al propietario con al menos 1 hora de antelación de la salida y entregarle las llaves en la hora convenida Los ocupantes sois responsables del alojamiento de su contenido durante vuestra estancia esperando que lo mantengáis cuidado y que lo dejéis ordenado El propietario se compromete a asumir los gastos de cualquier reparación o desperfecto ocasionado por fuerza mayor rotura de cañerías de agua avería eléctrica etc El propietario agradecerá cualquier sugerencia que pueda ofrecernos para poder hacer más agradable sus futuras En caso de haber dado fianza el propietario la devolverá en el momento de la salida en caso de no haber desperfectos El propietario no se responsabiliza de la pérdida olvido de objetos no obstante si lo encuentra en la casa al limpiarla no tendrá inconveniente de enviarlo a la dirección facilitada mediante envío a contra reembolso Normas de estancia Los ocupantes no podréis realizar en la casa rural actividades molestas insalubres nocivas peligrosas ó ilícitas Si encontráis alguna deficiencia deberéis comunicarla al propietario lo antes posible
