    services Their hard work and commitment to customer satisfaction resulted in more than 50 of returning clients making them the largest and most successful program With only 42 of funding dollars available CWF was unsure if they would provide their services to the community this tax season however their volunteers and staff persevered to make the impossible possible CWF s Director Mary Author believes none of their success would have been possible without the dedicated volunteers and staff Everyone took the mission to heart Mary stated CWF s volunteers and staff made sacrifices to get the task done in order to help those who were in need of their services most Thanks to Campaign for Working Families more Philadelphia residents retained their money and benefitted from their services CWF plans to improve their efforts even more and continue spreading the importance of financial literacy throughout Philadelphia communities They hope to continue helping residents make better money management decisions to achieve more for their families With this tax season totaling 211 Million in tax refunds for over the last 11 years it s no wonder why they are the 1 free tax program in Pennsylvania Tags News Publications Financial Literacy Neighborhood

    Committee of the Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition Cooper s Ferry Development Association Saint Joseph s Carpenter Society and Philadelphia Local Initiatives Support Corporation LISC He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Rowan University in 1982 He is a 2002 graduate fellow of Leadership NJ James J Mergiotti became president and chief executive officer of Peirce College on July 1 2009 Mr Mergiotti joined the College as vice president administration in July 1998 and was promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer in January 2000 In these roles he was responsible for all aspects of the baccalaureate level institution administratively and academically He served as a Peirce College trustee from 1988 to 1998 including a term as board vice chair Mr Mergiotti is a strong advocate for a relationship driven academic environment He played a key role in the development of Peirce Online one of the pioneer initiatives in online higher education in the United States while enhancing programs and achieving record level operating results and substantial student enrollment growth at Peirce He lead the College through a collaborative strategic planning process in 2009 10 focused on making Peirce the first choice for career oriented non traditional college students seeking high quality teaching and service To date the strategic agenda has resulted in elevated visibility of the Peirce brand academic program expansion enhanced student support and the establishment of alternative revenue sources He has over 35 years of leadership experience in higher education banking and public accounting including major roles in administration operations and financial management human resources development mergers and acquisitions strategic sourcing and contract negotiations as well as nonprofit board relations He received an MBA in finance from LaSalle University and a BS in accounting from St
