    Inn Historic Site The Wayside Inn Historic Site is a private non profit landmark property charged with closely monitoring the way in which the buildings and grounds are used by the visiting public The buildings and grounds of the WIHS are copyright protected Chapel and Garden Weddings have priority to the grounds for photography on the day of their event Due to Weddings and outdoor events on Saturdays from April through October the grounds can be used for professional photography only before 11 30am and after 6 30pm For any other day we ask that you please be mindful to not be disruptive to any outdoor event that may be taking place The WIHS s rustic appearance and natural landscape is viewed by many to be an attractive backdrop for commercial use and we strive to balance that interest with those of the casual visitor as well as the expectations assumed by parties who schedule private events such as weddings and other group celebrations We kindly request that any Professional Photographers leave us a 25 minimum donation per session to assist with the costs of maintaining the property This can be given to the Front Desk at the Inn or

    Fife and Drum Music Garden in the Woods Brochure The Flags We Fly Touring the Wayside Inn Historic Site The Redstone Schoolhouse and Wayside Inn Grist Mill are staffed by trained interpreters and are available for touring on a seasonal basis Click here for a Property Map Be sure to check the days and hours of operation for each building before your visit The Wayside Inn is a self guided touring building available 7 days 9am to 8pm featuring period style room settings and cabinet displays of historic items Schools and similar sized groups are encouraged to visit our buildings and grounds Because of viewing space retrictions we recommend groups over 18 persons to separate into smaller groups and to take turns rotating through the buildings for guided presentations in the Mill and or School The Mill is open to visitors April through November Wednesday through Sunday from 9am to 5pm closed from 11am to 12pm for lunch daily Staffed by a trained interpreter grinding demonstrations are held mostly on weekends when visitor traffic is highest The Schoolhouse is open mid May through mid October Friday Saturday and Sunday from 11 30am to 5pm Note Our guided presentations are designed

    Redstone School so named because of its former location on Redstone Hill in Sterling MA is a classic New England one room school dating from 1798 and moved to Sudbury in 1927 The building was used as part of the Sudbury school system from 1927 to 1951 teaching grades one through four The Schoolhouse is open mid May through mid October Friday Saturday and Sunday from 11 30am to 5pm
