    Proposal Trail Guidelines Northshore Inspection Checklist Freeride Build Guide 3D feature models Photo Gallery About Contact Us Files Events No events Black Rock Demo Day July 5 2009 General Written by Administrator Monday 29 June 2009 08 30 Hey all just 6 days away until the best CONSUMER demo day on the West Coast DARE we say in the US maybe even Canada There will be now NINE yes 9 manufactures at Black Rock July 5 th for Demo Day 2009 Norco Giant Diamondback Transition Kona Felt Cove Evil and Marin are all still scheduled to be at Black Rock NEXT SUNDAY July 5th We don t know of anywhere else that you can test ride more then one manufacture bike AND test ride them on Oregon s Revolutionary Freeride Park as stated by Bike Magazine okay clarification Black Rock is not a Park but Trail per our agreement with Oregon Dept of Forestry So come out and help make this a HUGE success for riders and manufactures The more response the better chance of Demo Day sticking around with maybe even more vendors Demo s will start approximately 8 30 AM and run until about 4 30 PM You can demo any bike for FREE please bring credit card and ID as security Shuttle trucks on Demo Day are ONLY for DEMO riders if you bring your own bike to ride you will be pedaling up as usual Demo s are limited to one run per bike so other riders get a chance to ride some cool bikes but you can demo as many bikes as you want as time allows Sign ups are at each individual manufactures station and you will have to sign releases as needed by each manufacture If you are under 18 you will need

  • State Parks Day activities at L.L. Stub Stewart State Park
    Steve Kruger park ranger trail manager has recently been working in collaboration with local volunteer groups on development of mountain biking specific trail area and a disc golf course The mountain biking specific area was approved as part of original trail plan for park and is located on east side of Hares Canyon phase 1 trail loop is currently being completed by local volunteer trail builders organized by Westside Trail Federation most recently there was group of 15 Intel volunteers out to help with a corridor re route as part of trail network Park is responsible for development of additional trail facilities including kiosk for trailhead and on trail signage There is currently no established timeline on when this specific area will be opened to public for riding but there s currently more than 15 miles of shared use trails available within park which is open to riders For more information about getting involved to help complete trail development in mountain biking specific area contact This e mail address is being protected from spambots You need JavaScript enabled to view it Westside Trail Federation W T F and other groups supporting development of L L Stub Stewart State Park had info booths set up at Hilltop Day Use area W T F is an IMBA club based out of Hillsboro Oregon and focused on developing mountain biking specific destinations west of Portland through volunteer trail building efforts collaborating with land managers including Oregon Department of Forestry and Oregon Parks Recreation Department In the morning Pedal Nation a Hillsboro based biking club lead a fun family group ride from Buxton trailhead on Banks Vernonia Linear State Park Trail to the Hilltop Day Use Area W T F volunteers Keith Shoenrock Stephanie Yao Long and Chris Long met with interested park users
