  • "Sneak peek" riding tour of mountain biking area at L.L. Stub Stewart State Park
    construction single track trails and glimpse of the proposed location of mountain biking skills area in L L Stub Stewart State Park This is your chance Beginner corridor is not yet open so this tour is open to Intermediate level single track riders If there s demand for it a hiking tour for others who simple want to see a little of what s there could be arranged check with us at info table There is good amount of single track which is currently ridable not dialed in yet just ridable and we d like to show you what s on the ground during the Oregon State Parks Day on Saturday June 6th 2009 Free day use and overnight camping The mountain biking area at Stub has been under construction for little over two years by local mountain biking volunteers lead by Westside Trail Federation W T F and area is still not officially opened yet to public We will have an information table set up at Hilltop Day Use area during event to answer questions you may have about this project and the status of proposal for more advanced skill trails area This is your chance to get sneak peek at new single track trails before area is opened to public and learn more about volunteer group collaborating with Oregon Parks Recreation to build this network of mountain biking specific trails within park For those who would like to help cut a bit more trail more of an in depth demonstration of sustainable trail building with design overview there will be a small group working for an hour or so after tour Those who want to help dig can hang back with the builders and those who want to finish out their ride can head back with the main

    Building Wooden TTF s 10 Most Common Mistakes Wash County Land Use Dev Svcs Build Pump Track W T F Guidelines TEMPLATE Trail Proposal Trail Guidelines Northshore Inspection Checklist Freeride Build Guide 3D feature models Photo Gallery About Contact Us Files Events No events NEW EVENT at Black Rock Mtn Bike Area the Blackrock Flow Cup General Written by Administrator Friday 22 May 2009 07 21 The Black Rock Mountain Bike Association BRMBA Announces the First Downhill Race on the Legendary Blackrock Mountain Bike Trails Hosted by Blackrock Flow Cup Events Salem Oregon 05 15 09 Blackrock Flow Cup Events in conjunction with Santiam Bicycle and the Blackrock Mountain Bike Association invites all gravity junkies to come out to the Blackrock Trail Unit on May 30 th and 31 st for the first annual Blackrock Flow Cup downhill race The race course is located deep in the Coast Range mountains outside of Falls City Oregon Seven years of volunteer labor have been put into the track incorporating large jumps rocky sections bermed corners and elevated structures winding through the lush Black Rock Mountain Bike Area historically known as George T Gerlinger experimental forest Race times will average about five minutes for the expert category on a course that measures 1 5 miles in length Participants will be allowed two timed runs on the course the best of which will be compared against fellow racers A N Hometown Grocery is awarding cash prizes of 100 50 and 25 for the three fastest times on the mountain This race will be limited to 125 riders so register early if possible Saturday practice including shuttle services will be offered for those looking to get to know the track before racing on Sunday For more information on the Blackrock Flow Cup Downhill Race including
