    Wash County Land Use Dev Svcs Build Pump Track W T F Guidelines TEMPLATE Trail Proposal Trail Guidelines Northshore Inspection Checklist Freeride Build Guide 3D feature models Photo Gallery About Contact Us Files Events No events Results of 3 29 dig day at Stub General Written by Administrator Saturday 28 March 2009 06 57 We have now completed roughly 1 2 of the 1 5 miles of single track we need to have in place by June 6th State Parks National Trails Day for our goal for this project This was one of those perfect days for trail building I type this now with dirt still under my fingernails Weather was nice and cool and the day before was rainy so made the soil just right for working Looking forward to the next work party on April 18th see Event Calendar There will be an adhoc work party small group going back out early April to finalize the next segment pin flagging single track it ll be a tricky section involving couple of switchbacks steep section to deliver the trail down to next level down that sets us up to hit the tip of the peninsula where there will be a view point with views of the large drainage as well as Hares Canyon Thanks to those who came out to help add new single track Half of group were first timer trail builders always great to addict the next generation and the other half were out again to help had come to a past Stub build day always good to see regulars There was group of 10 local mountain biker volunteers out to help This area is all us if we don t build it then it won t get built Oregon Parks Recreation is depending on us We

    leaders and advocates is developing a comprehensive website for cycling in Oregon The website will provide information on the state s best road cycling routes mountain bike trails bike paths bike related events and travel resources Participants of the 2008 Oregon Bike Summit suggested a comprehensive website dedicated to biking in Oregon should be a top recreation and tourism development priority for the state Travel Oregon has taken this priority to heart and will unveil a beta version of the site at the Oregon Bike Summit in Salem on April 21 2009 Click Read More for full article and links to Survey for what stuff you d like to see on the new statewide biking site So far we are off to a great start but we need your help to identify content for the new site To help you can 1 fill out this survey and or 2 make sure this survey gets into the hands of bicycling gurus entrepreneurs business owners and aficionados across the state of Oregon so that they can fill it out The survey collects information on the following to help us populate the website prior to its launch 1 Great road routes and trails for cycling 2 Bicycle related businesses tour companies bike shops or other 3 Events races rides educational or otherwise bike related 4 Input on what kinds of support and or emergency services cyclists would like to have at their fingertips Deadline to fill out the survey is April 1 2009 Keep using the form to submit content listings until the site goes live and there s an Add Content link on the actual site The survey is designed to provide our website production team at Substance with content leads The content leads that you provide in this survey will be

    replies Fall Stub Stewart Build Days Freeride Area WTF Monday 11 October 2010 15 35 2 replies Blackrock WTF NWTA 2010 IHateBikes Net WTF Friday 06 August 2010 15 23 1 reply Events No events OPENING DAY General Written by BUILD CREW Friday 01 June 2012 19 20 5 years in the making Thousands of volunteer hours advocating planning scouting proposing and constructing has all led us to this point To every single volunteer that has ever helped these trails are for you We hope you enjoy them June 2nd 2012 marks opening day of the Stub Stewart State Park Freeride Area Here are a few details you will need to know about accessing the network Pay to Park To park within the park boundaries you must either post an annual pass in your car 30 a year or pay for daily parking 5 Straight from the Park s website 5 daily day use fee or buy a 12 month permit for 30 or a 24 month permit for 50 These 1 2 year permits are good at all state park day use areas If you would rather ride your bike into the park you can park at the Buxton trailhead for the Banks Vernonia trail and ride your way into the park that makes for a long ride Park management is recommending that Mountain Bike visitors park their vehicles at the Hilltop day use area and ride in to the mountain bike area from there The Speed limit on park roads are 20MPH It s a little under a mile of pedaling to access the North Mountain Bike Area from Hilltop day use area Directional signage from Hilltop to the North Mountain Bike Area is posted beginning at the exit to the Hilltop day use area parking lot Please
