anything else Using a space before supported but this is not the kind of escape character I would have expected Adding an escape character would be nice My position statement on Creole 0 4 I had no strong opinion on ChangeLinebreakMarkupProposal Personally I liked the wiki style but noticed that most newbie users prefer blog style supported h1 supported although I believe it to be wrong My position statement on Creole 0 3 I m happy with the simple tables The Oddmuse implementation has right and center alignment with appropriate whitespace placement and column spanning with empty cells My position statement on Creole 0 2 image text supported My position statement on Creole 0 1 bold and italics supported including nesting and spanning lines but not paragraphs unordered lists supported but requiring a space after the should part of the recommendation so that people can start paragraphs with bold words That would be much better than the special case introduced http www wikicreole org wiki Creole0 2 section Creole0 2 Lists CS We agreed at the workshop not to require spaces because many users do not put a space after a bullet ordered lists supported but requiring a space after the should part of the recommendation for consistency with the unordered list markup Nested lists are usually not needed except for table of contents and other sort of dynamically assembled hierarchical data repeating the list item character is not intuitive using whitespace intuitive Mixed nested lists add to the difficulties CS Kept nested lists sublevels of lists in 0 1 but removed mixed lists i e mixing ordered and unordered lists in one structure from Creole 0 1 Will continue discussion for Creole 0 2 List items can span lines but not paragraphs Empty lines between list items is are

See MoinMoin ThomasWaldmann I would be happy if creole lives up to being a nice and useful common wiki markup But there is a long way to go and some people seem to rush it and do quick shots This is not the way we will get something nice and useful Creole if it wants to be a success needs to address the use cases currently used wiki markup addresses

ThomasWaldmann Home View Page Discussion V iew A ttach I nfo MoinMoin 1 6 comes with a Creole 1 0 parser build in To enable it just use text creole format pragmas from the top of page are filtered out before the parser gets to them so it s possible to have a numbered lists broken this way This cannot be fixed Pre blocks use hashbang notation for denoting code

based VQWiki software You can reach me through mvdkleijn vqwiki org I expect CREOLE to be a unifying force which will provide a standardization of sorts similar to the W3C recommendations I ve got a few suggestions I d like to suggest some additions changes which are in line with the currently proposed standard Additions Underlined text Creole Underlined text two underscores Proposed XHTHML span class underlined span Stricken text Creole Stricken text Proposed XHTML del del Superscripted text Creole This is superscripted text Proposed XHTML sup sup Subscripted text Creole This is subscripted text Proposed XHTML sub sub No wiki markup While I realise that you could use the pre code for this people might not want to have some markup parsed without it being interpreted as code I would like to suggest using no markup for simple no markup sections code on a line of their own would be more logical for blocks of code It would also be more in line with the rest of Creole if these were double instead of tripple while another option might be preformatted for regular preformatted text Changes Tables I d like to suggest a small addition to the table definition
