    Skiing Cross Country Ski Trip Calendar Forums Join the Club Responsibilities Membership Dues Membership Application Old Website Useful Links Paddling Sea Recreational Paddling Recreational Kayaking The Recreational group paddles from the open waters of the northern Chesapeake Bay to the slow moving rivers of the New Jersey Pine Barrens We run more than 60 trips during the paddling season which goes from April through October A big event of the paddling year is the annual kayak training courses run by our American Canoe Association Certified Kayak Instructors See our training website at wtckayak com Our trips cover many levels of difficulty from beginner and moving water trips to longer more challenging paddles on the Chesapeake Bay We even have a few paddles where you can watch the full moon rise while paddling on a warm summer night We participate in longer multi day trips such as the Schuylkill and Delaware River Sojourns and the Adirondack Mountain Club Summer Outing in the Saranac Lake NY area We offer car camping trips to the Delaware River Gap and the Janes Island Pocomoke River area Some rivers we paddle Batsto River Wading River Susquehanna River Wye River Bohemia River Northeast River Tuckahoe River

    issued at WTC pool desk and submit it to the front desk of the YMCA Photo ID required Then come back down to the WTC check in desk The Y is located at 2600 Kirkwood Highway Newark DE 1971 1 see map below Time Pool sessions this year are each Sunday from 10 00am to 1 00pm Please have all boats completely out of the pool area before 1 00 pm Boats Equipment Please make sure your boat is clean free of debris and airbags removed before putting it in the pool Helmets and PFD s must be worn when in the pool Some club boats and equipment will be available Please contact the pool session coordinators for availability Membership Requirements Fees We ask that anyone who is not a WTC member and or ACA member to please check in before 11 00 To support our club and reduce insurance paperwork the Paddling Board encourages attendees to be members of both ACA and WTC We can assist you in completing your applications for both the American Canoe Association ACA and the Wilmington Trail Club WTC when you check in at the first pool sessions see Membership Tips below Non members may attend two pool sessions without membership in these organizations but must pay associated fees on the third session participants will be asked to join both organizations unless they are YMCA of Delaware members All pool session fees go toward YMCA guest fees and or ACA event fees YMCA offers a discount on guest fees to members of both WTC and ACA YMCA members are not required to join either organization to participate in pool sessions but must pay 5 per session for insurance fees if they choose not to join the ACA Membership Tip If you are just interested

    Calendar Skiing Cross Country Skiing Cross Country Ski Trip Calendar Forums Join the Club Responsibilities Membership Dues Membership Application Old Website Useful Links Other Groups Bicycle Adventure Club Bike Delaware Delaware Trail Spinners Delaware Valley Bicycle Club Suburban Cyclists Bike Virginia Cycling Bike Rides Bike rides take place every Tuesday from April through mid November depending on the weather These are generally 25 35 miles and are almost all are completely on paved roads Some rides are hilly and some are flat but most are in between Event postings generally include a description of what to expect The routes tend toward using less trafficked and scenic roads and are loops that is they are not out and back rides Lunch can be at an interesting restaurant en route but more and more it can be at the end Click here to see many different cue sheets for rides in Delaware Maryland Pennsylvania and occasionally New Jersey Participants generally use road bikes and all must wear helmets The average speed is 11 12 mph Rides normally start from 9 10 AM depending on the wishes of the leader and the distance to the starting point The leader is normally expected to

    Cross Country Ski Trip Calendar Forums Join the Club Responsibilities Membership Dues Membership Application Old Website Useful Links Skiing Cross Country Skiing General X C Skiing Information and Policies Reservations for X C skiing trips will be made in the order in which the Trip Leader receives deposits Check s in the mail is not valid Make your check payable to the Trip Leader Include full address including ZIP phone number including area code and e mail address WTC members and members family and significant others have first preference Non members are placed on a waiting list with receipt of a deposit check and their reservations will not be final until two weeks before the trip All checks will be deposited cashed upon receipt to cover the cost of deposits paid to the lodges Refunds if permitted by policy see below will be paid less a 2 handling charge Trip Leaders have first preference for trips other than their own through Wednesday 11 04 15 No other reservations will be taken until the evening of the 4th Please DO NOT CANCEL if there is no snow for a trip Bring hiking boots and gear and have an enjoyable winter hike
