    to revise any details of your scheduled visit please contact us at 800 448 3883 or e mail grouptours winterthur org Payments for Group Tours are due one week in advance of your scheduled tour For more information on group rates click here Please refer to our Directions and Parking page to assist you with directions and arrival instructions Helpful Tips Identification It is helpful to have your group identified with name tags or lanyards to assist us in identifying your tour group throughout your visit with the goal of optimizing your experience Length of Visit You should plan to visit at Winterthur for 3 to 4 hours with additional time if dining in the café Arrival Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your reserved tour time This will allow time to check in and to enjoy the Garden Tram weather permitting Garden Tram Tours Your group tour s General Admission includes a narrated tour of the Winterthur garden The Garden Tram runs March through December weather permitting Trams are not reserved exclusively for tour groups but are shared with the general public While we try to accommodate all requested time slots for garden tram tours the trams are available on a first come first served basis Winterthur does not reserve or guarantee tram times but we do suggest that groups take a tram tour when they first arrive at Winterthur as it is the best way to accommodate that feature We also try to estimate a time for your group to take the garden tram tour so that we can schedule the rest of your visit accordingly When reserving your tour please let our Winterthur Information and Tours Office know your requested tram time slot Please also contact us if you have questions or would like to find out more about arranging house and garden tours during non peak times For more information please call 800 448 3883 or e mail grouptours winterthur org After Check In After your group checks in at the Winterthur Visitor Center your group has the option of taking a narrated garden tram tour or riding the museum shuttle bus to the museum If time permits they may also walk through the garden to the museum The Introductory House Tour Spring Tour Yuletide Tour Galleries Campbell Collection of Soup Tureens Winterthur Museum Store and Winterthur Library are accessible via the museum stop Storing Personal Items There is a coat room and lockers at the museum to store personal items Umbrellas shopping bags and backpacks must be checked in a locker and are not permitted on house tours Purses briefcases and other large personal items are not allowed to accompany guests on Reserved Tours custom or private house tours Notebooks and pencils are permitted on house tours pens and markers are prohibited House Tours Guided tours of Henry Francis du Pont s former home are broken down into groups of approximately 5 10 people and depart every few minutes Accessibility Winterthur is committed to providing
