  • Voting Explained
    what transferable voting is Voting will be available via a combination of ballot stations on campus To find out more details about times and locations click here How to Vote 1 Simply head over to one of the ballot stations with your University ID card or head to www wolvesunion org elections to vote online At a ballot station you will have your ID card checked by a member of staff they will then input your student number into the software they will give you a brief explanation on how to use the software If voting online you will need to log in using your University credentials If it will not let you vote please let a member of staff know or email the Student Voice and Democracy Coordinator sophie fenner wlv ac uk and then use the instructions here 2 You will find that you can automatically vote for some positions For some others you ll be asked to self define to indicate that the category is relevant to you This will allow the voting software to establish whether you should be voting for positions such as Mature Part time Students Parents Officer LGBT Rep etc 3 You can the proceed through the voting pages voting for as many positions as you wish ranking candidates for each post in order of preference starting with 1 for your favourite candidate 2 for your second favourite etc This is transferable voting and means students votes have more worth 4 Re Open Nominations RON will appear on each voting page This gives students the option to vote to re open nominations rather than voting for any of the candidates standing for that post Students can put 1 next to RON if they don t feel any of the candidates are up for
