    04 12 2016 7 00 pm 8 30 pm Since its release in 1967 the Beatles Sgt Pepper s Lonely Hearts Club Band has often been regarded as the single greatest rock album ever made and one of the first rock concept albums This multimedia presentation of The Beatles Alter Ego Sgt Pepper s Lonely Hearts Club Band will observe and discuss the landmark album track by track citing musical and historical precedents and illustrating the development of the songs through excerpts from interviews with the band members and clips of discarded takes This program is free and open to the public It will be presented by Aaron Krerowicz who is the only full time professional Beatles scholar in the U S He won a research grant through the University of Hartford to study the band and has since presented his findings through presentations at libraries universities continuing education programs and community centers throughout the United States and England Aaron s first Beatles book The Beatles The Avant Garde was published in late 2014 his second The Beatles Band of the Sixties was released as a Kindle ebook in April 2015 and third From The Shadow of JFK The Rise of Beatlemania in America was released in early June 2015 with several more books planned for the next few years For details and to register for his free monthly email newsletter visit his website www AaronKrerowicz com Flappers Women of the 1920 s with Trish Chambers Celebrating National Poetry Month with Lenore C Uddyback Fortson Hours Monday Thursday 10 30 A M 9 00 P M Friday Noon 5 00 P M Saturday 10 30 A M 1 00 P M Closed Saturdays from July through Labor Day Events Kids Chess grades 3 8 04 29 2016 3 30 PM
